Thus, a CEO agreement reduces the risk of conflicts that could potentially result in significant costs for the employer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Normally, collective agreements do not apply either and a CEO is exempt from the rules of the Working Hours Act. However, the Work Environment Act and the Holiday Act also apply to a CEO. In addition, it is particularly important for a CEO to come to an agreement with his or her employer regarding, for example, financial protection in the event of dismissal and entitlement to pension and insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>For a CEO of a limited company, the duties are formally set out in the Companies Act. The CEO is primarily expected to take care of the day-to-day management of the company. However, such clauses must not be too broad or far-reaching. For example, a non-compete clause could mean that the CEO may not engage in competing activities for a certain period after leaving the company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The CEO agreement is also important to ensure that the CEO does not abuse the information he\/she receives about the company&#8217;s activities during the period of employment.
