Managing financial crisis with composition!
A composition means that the debtor, i.e. the person who owes the debt, reaches an agreement regarding payment with his creditor. By entering into a composition, the creditor reduces his claim to a certain amount or by a certain percentage.
The parties also agree on how and when the remaining debt will be paid.
If the debtor was insolvent at the time of the arrangement, the ‘profit’ the debtor derives from the composition is tax-free.
