Leasehold disputes

Leasehold disputes

A lease is a contract on the concession of land, which means the leaseholder is given the right to use the land in exchange for compensation to the landowner.

There are different kinds of leases, such as agriculture, property, facility and flat leases. The kind of lease is determined by what the land in question is to be used for. The first three need to be in writing to be valid.

The legislation contains rules to protect the leaseholder. Any agreements in conflict with the legislation are usually not enforceable.
